- Today we have over sixty machines awaiting teardown, 40,000 line items, four mechanics, four counterpersons, and access to all other used parts dealers world wide via three network systems. All of our parts are inspected by qualified technicians in our Component Rebuilt Center before being offered for resale. Our specifications are based on Caterpillar reusability guidelines as well as Thompson Tractor Co., Inc. reusability guidelines. (All Caterpillar REMAN components have the same criteria.) We ship anywhere in the world.
- Thompson Tractor Co., Inc., the exclusive Caterpillar dealer for Alabama and North Florida, has successfully been reusing Caterpillar parts since beginning in 1957. In 1989, Thompson Tractor Company formed its used parts department. The department used a teardown area behind the main store and available warehouse space until renting a 10,000 sqare foot building in 1999. In 2004 Thompson Tractor Company purchased a four acre site across from the main store in Birmingham. and a 40,000 sqare foot building for the used parts division.
