Thompson Power Systems was awarded Gold Level recognition by Caterpillar for outstanding engine division performance in 2006.  

2006 brought significant growth to our engine business in Alabama and Northwest Florida.   Overall, Thompson Power Systems grew 29% above 2005 levels.   Sales, parts, and service each contributed to our record-setting business.  

Most CAT dealers throughout North America had strong growth in 2006.   Caterpillar’s North America Power Systems as a whole grew over 32% in prime product sales, and grew 13% in product support sales.   Such performance by all dealers made attaining Gold Level status in 2006 all the more challenging. 

Only the Top 10 Power Systems Distributors (PSD’s) with the highest overall scores were identified as Gold Level recipients.   Scores were calculated from 2006 results as measured against 32 objectives.  Thompson had solid results in all areas, and received the maximum allowable points in 5 of the 32 measurements.
